At San Diego Comic-Con in July, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had other people raising eyebrows when he said that his long-awaited superhero debut in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero would be the beginning of “a new era” for the DC Extended Universe naturally followed: What did he mean? And what would that kind of reset mean for the remainder of DCEU's roster, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the rest of the Justice League, Suicide Squad, Shazam and so on.As
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero neared theaters, though, Johnson clarified that statement in a recent sit-down with Yahoo Entertainment (watch above).
“I feel like this is our opportunity now to expand the DC Universe and what we have in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, which I think is really cool just as a fan, is we introduce five new superheroes to the world,” Johnson tells us. Aldis Hodge's Hawkman, Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell's Cyclone and Pierce Brosnan's Doctor Fate, who together comprise the Justice Society.) “One anti-hero.” (That would be DJ's Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.)
“And what an opportunity. The Justice Society pre-dated the Justice League. So opportunity, expand out the universe, in my mind… all these characters interact. That's why you see in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, we acknowledge everyone: Batman , Superman , Wonder Woman, Flash, we acknowledge everybody. There's also some Easter eggs in there, too.So that's what I meant by the resetting. Maybe resetting' wasn't a good term.only
one can claim to be the most powerful superhero .And Johnson, when gently pressed, says it's his indestructible, 5,000-year-old Kahndaqi warrior also known as Teth-Adam, that is the most powerful superhero in any universe, DC, Marvel or otherwise
"By the way, it's not hyperbole because we made the movie."And we made him this powerful.
There's nothing so wrong with “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” that it should be avoided, but nothing—besides the appealing presence of Dwayne Johnson—that makes it worth rushing out to see. spectacles that have more or less taken over studio filmmaking, but it accumulates the genre's—and the business's—bad habits into a single two- hour-plus package, and only hints at the format's occasional pleasures. “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” feels like a place-filler for a movie that's remaining to be made, but, in its bare and shrugged-off sufficiency, it does one positive thing that, if nothing else, at least accounts for its success: for all the churning action and elaborately jerry-rigged plot, there's little to distract from the movie's pedestal-like display of Johnson, its real-life superhero.
It's no less numbing to find material meant for children retconned for adults—and, in the process, for most of the naïve delight to be leached out, and for any serious concerns to be shoehorned in and then waved away with dazzle and noise. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” offers a moral realm that draws no lines, a personal one of simplistic stakes, a political one that suggests any interpretation, an audiovisual one that rehashes long-familiar tropes and repackages overused devices for a commercial experiment that might as well wear its import as its title. When I was in Paris in 1983, Jerry Lewis—yes, they really did love him there—had a new movie in theaters. You're Crazy, Jerry."Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero " could be retitled 'You're a Superhero, Dwayne'—it's the marketing team's PowerPoint presentation extended to feature length.
In addition to being Johnson's DC Universe debut, “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero” is also notable for marking the return of Henry Cavill's Superman. The cameo is likely to set up future showdowns between the two characters, but Hodge was completely unaware of it until he saw the film.
“They kept that all the way under wraps, and I didn't know until maybe a day or two before the premiere,” he recently said Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022) FULLMOVIE ONLINE

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has delivered an unsurprising hit opening weekend that has broken one of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero's post-pandemic records.
As Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero winds down the peak of its run, a new challenger is entering the ring with Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Following up on the highest-grossing movie of all time, director James Cameron has a lot to live up to, and expectations are running high after a visually spectacular trailer and promotional campaign.
Of course, the theater industry is not quite what it used to be after suffering through the pandemic, but Top Gun 2 and No Way Home proved movies can still break records and have overwhelming success. But can Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero do the same? Well, after smashing one record, things are looking rather positive.
As shared on Twitter by box office guru Luiz Fernando, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero has broken one record held by Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
Having grossed $53M domestically on the Friday opening, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero took home $76.7M overseas, overtaking No Way Home's $67.2M and Doctor Strange 2's $53.6M to become the biggest of the post-pandemic era.
The impressive opening resulted in a total of $127.1M international gross, and $180.1M global result. The Way of Water is now eyeing a $290M-$300M 5-day opening overseas, for a total global result of $415M-$435M.
Despite these record-breaking overseas results, the domestic number of $53M - including $17M in previews - is somewhat underwhelming. This placed the sequel as the 44th biggest domestic opening of all-time and only the 6th-biggest Friday of the pandemic era, just surpassing the $52M of Top Gun: Maverick.
Is Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Disappointing or Succeeding?
The first Avatar flick saw a similar pattern as, out of its original $2.74B box office gross, only $749.7M came from the United States, with the other $2B coming from international results. So, seeing the second see similar success with international audiences isn't awfully surprising, whatever the reasons behind this may be.
The long-awaited sequel's expected $415M-$435M global opening competes well with the $242.5M of the 2009 original - $336.5M when adjusted for inflation. Obviously, the first Avatar succeeded so well based on the long legs it had to keep winning for weeks on end, only time will tell if The Way of Water has the same.
Nonetheless, fans should not have the expectation that Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero will triumph over its highest-grossing film ever predecessor. It may not even surpass the totals of No Way Home, which had a far larger worldwide opening of $587.2M - although that had fans rushing to see it immediately to avoid its Multiversal spoilers.
The Way of Water will not be relying on such tools, as James Cameron and Disney hope this film's visual spectacle and brand recognition will be enough to keep it going for a long time - especially as it can capitalize off the festive season, just as the first similarly did with its mid-December 2009 release.
After all, the flick doesn't really have much major competition until February's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in terms of huge blockbusters that ought to dominate the box office. M3GAN will undoubtedly make a splash with horror fans in mid-January, although that won't be any threat to Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero's supremacy.
Of course, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero set plenty of records for the post-pandemic era, as it was integral to resurrecting theaters, but many of those will now begin to be surpassed. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero marks the first major challenge, anticipation-wise, to No Way Home's supremacy, and there will be more to come in the coming years.
As of yet, no film since the pandemic began has been able to cross the $2B mark - 2019's Avengers: Endgame was the last - with No Way Home coming the closest with $1.9B. Whether The Way of Water has the legs to be next will remain to be seen, although this opening offers positive signs that it may follow a similar pattern to the first of achieving long-term international success.
With Cameron having already filmed a nine-hour cut of Avatar 3 and begun early works on the fourth, the director certainly needs this one to succeed after committing so much to this franchise. These early numbers ought to near guarantee he will be given the go-ahead to push ahead with these sequels, which will be welcome news to many.
